always buy from wheelspin ,they will take time to help and offer great prices ...people who gave bad reviews either did so because they could get stuff cheaper or they dont know what they want
I placed a online order with these guys and ended up speaking to the manager a number of times. He was the most unhelpful grumpy person i’ve spoken to in a long time. Trying to arrange anything with him was like pulling teeth and then he simply ignored our conversation! Don’t go near them...
I bought my son an HPI car and couldn't get it running right. Gave them a call, and they asked us to drop back down, which we did. One of the mechanic's had a quick look at it, fiddled with the needles and it's run like a charm ever since. I've now bought my father a helicopter and he can't get enough. Just need to work my way up to some of their bigger stuff! Can't fault them at all, I've spoken to several lads there and they've all been very helpful.
he is far 2 expenisve on radio controlled so i go somewhere chepper my radio controlled and i now use the people in hednesford called best bargain models i recommend them to everyone
i recently spent just over £300 on my 1st nitro car, as soon as i got it home it wouldnt start so i took it back, i got a call later to say i could collect it but i'd have to pay £5 for a new glow plug??? when i questioned this i was verbally abused over the phone. i went to collect it and the 2nd or 3rd word out of the OWNERS mouth was **** (imagine the worst swear word you know). i needed a new part over a week ago and still have heard nothing back from these guys so ive managed to order elsewhere. aftersales is a joke and as for the way they speak to customers well you judge for yourself... the only way i'll step foot back in that place is if i need the warrenty using, even then i may get someone else to go in for me. to sum it up.... stay away the whole place is a joke.
these guys had my jato in when I couldnt get it running at all. they rang me the next day to collect it and it was running an absolute dream!!!! all my mates had tried and failed to get the thing running. cost me 30 quid to get it serviced but didnt mind because without it being serviced it was just sitting gathering dust. these guys obviously know what theyre on about.
I've had lots of bits and pieces from these guys over the last few months and all of it has been either in stock or sourced for me within a couple of days. I pop in all the time for fuel, which is cheaper here than Mikes Models and they keep a lot more selection than he does, so I always go here for preference.
This is my local shop also, but I no longer go in there and I think it fair to report bad experiences as well as good. I have had many, many bad experiences, and each time I try to give them another chance, but I am getting ripped off by them no more!!! I honestly have never come away from there feeling like I have had good service or a bargain. When in store, they make up prices on the spot - charging anything from a pound or much more above both their advertised 'net price and the supplier rrp on their website. I think they see what they can get away with. It would actually be cheaper to order online and pay delivery! That said, they aren't the cheapest online either - their so called 'sale prices' seem to be reductions on already over-inflated prices. Aftersales service is very poor, they are very unhelpful unless there is a quick £40 or so to be made for 'looking at it' - even if you have just spent £300 on a model from them! Many other local people have said the same - be warned.
This is my local model shop and always provides helpful service! Easy to find - straight off the A5 at Cannock near the big B&Q. They keep literally thousands of spares on the shelf, especially for cars such as Traxxas and HPI. Seems to have very good pricing, but even if they were expensive, their service is more than worth it!
